I sense you've been making incorrect assumptions. 'Garbage in, garbage out.' That's what bad information results in. I doubt the problem lies with those "rudest, most uninformed workers" referred to. People who've worked for a government entity where a government pension is provided in lieu of Social Security deductions/payments understand, up front, what happens at retirement ... if they take the time to read through the materials the HR department gives them. If someone now seeks to 'double dip' on pensions received, I say ... "Take a hike."
