I've learned that we are mostly all human and concerned how to live happily in our remaining years.
Yeah, ain't that the truth!

I've learned things about SS that I would never have known to ask, I have even shocked my husband with some tidbits ( and he insults me by researching everything I've told him ;-) --
Discussions about moving In retirement have slowed our timeline down a bit, we are going to smell the roses first....
..... And I've learned that I enjoy this forum and the debates, the sisterly, brotherly bickering that goes on makes me lonesome for family........
..... And no matter how engaging the forums can be, nothing can take the place of human contact, face to face - social interaction, good or bad we all need it. IMHO, of course ;-)

This forum raises more questions than it answers. Why are seniors so touchy? Why do some always have to have the last word? Learning ceases to happen when we think we have all the answers.

^^ Because humans are imperfect, and some are more imperfect, mean, nasty, critical, nitpicky, short-tempered, or stressed than others.

From reading this forum it seems like many retired people have way too much idle time on their hands and need to find something worthwhile or a purpose in their lives (other than CD) ... whether working part time, classes, or volunteering for a good cause. Like another poster mentioned, humans are imperfect ... both old and young.

The answer to this is in that old Depeche Mode song: "people are people, so why should it be, you and I should get along so awfully?"
