Old men and pleated pants. Wow. They are typically worn with a waist band that falls just below the sternum. I think I will pass and stick with my cargo pants.
Putting this in this forum since most men that are retired are of a certain age - - that's why...
Looking for ideas; where do you buy pants if you also like the pleated ones?
Open to suggestions (thank you)
I'm still unclear what someone's age has to do with where to buy pleated pants; but in any case, I'm sure that you can find any clothing item known to man (and at a good price) just down the road from you at Sawgrass Mills.
Pleats are the work of the Devil. If you care about this man, please do not enable him in this misguided quest. Just because a magazine says that one trend or another is "coming back" doesn't mean you should substitute fleeting "fashion" for genuine "style". If you stick with properly-fitting (including leg-width appropriate to body shape and age) flat-front pants you can never go wrong.
Check Haggers I think that is where I ordered custom length slacks for my son in law
You can order pleated, no pleat, chino, dressier, in almost any waist/length from site
I also don't see what age has to do with this; pleated pants are always in style among men who dress in traditional clothing. I wear them sometimes with oxford shirts.
A man who has been purchasing his pants new from Ralph Lauren is probably not going to want some rag pants from a thrift store. You should be able to find exactly what you want at either Brooks Brothers, JC Penney, or LL Bean. All three have high quality. You may also want to try Land's End because they will give you the exact length down to a 1/4 inch as your husband is tall. With Land's End, buy the best quality because the quality of their lower priced stuff is sometimes questionable.
My husband is a Polo Ralph Lauren guy. The clothes they made fit him perfectly and he likes what he likes. His first pair - around 1988 so I guess it's been a good run.
I actually found pictures (not that old either) of some very famous people wearing this same type of pant so I guess he's not that bad.
