So this isn't exactly anything about retirement, but it seems like maybe only us old folks will see the humor in it. Watch the video and have fun laughing your socks off.

I guess I'm the curmudgeon here. Why would they know about a rotary dial phone?

I never learned how to hand-crank a car starter. Even back when I learned how to drive a car, they no longer needed to be hand-cranked.

We also wouldn't expect a young person to understand how to put a ribbon on a manual typewriter or use a mimeograph machine.

To me, all this says is that people who find this funny are way behind the times and need to catch up.

That seems fake ,even my 2 year old granddaughter knows to pick up the handle and then dial the phone. Either they are putting it on or they are exceptionally stupid.

That's the funniest thing I've seen all day! Do you know how many times while I was still working that I had to ask younger co-workers how to do something on the computer or smartphone?

Sweet revenge!!!

I was at the other end of the same curve. My town did't have dial until after I finished high school. So the first time I ever dialed was from my college dorm. But I had seen people do it on TV, so I knew how.

Funny!!

I was a jerk with my iPod Touch...uh, perhaps the past tense is a bit self-serving.

I'm eighty, I'm a shipwreck with feet and the one kid is wearing his cap on backward and he isn't under the hood of a car....bizarro.

Wait until they pick up the handset, hold it to their ear before dialing, then hear voices talking on the phone.

....Knowing that the phone they're listening on is the only one in their house....

I grew up with party lines. No modems there....

Funny, I put a phone like that on the kitchen counter yesterday. Hoping I can hear better on an old Western Electric than on these cordless AT&T useless phones.

But as others have said, I'm all thumbs with my iPhone. Those kids can text long conversations while the phone is in their pocket.
