Partisan political discussion is not allowed in the Retirement forum. It is too divisive, leads to ill feelings, and never accomplishes anything other than get members upset with each other. There are other, more appropriate places on City-Data for partisan political discussion. Not here.
However, general political comments, directly applicable to a specific topic is fine. Just not the divisive partisan trash-talk. We are all old enough and mature enough to know the difference.
