Scheduled for Pfizer Booster next week. Got pre vaccination message telling us to drink 16oz of water 1 hour before to minimize side effects. Has anyone else gotten that info? My wife fell out laughing at the thought of me drinking 16oz of water hour before.
I wouldn't be able to drink that much at once either. And if I did manage it, I wouldn't make it to the vax site without 2 or 3 bathroom breaks along the way.
I'm sorry to hear so many are having reactions with the Moderna booster. It is supposed to be a half dose. I would think that would mean fewer reactions. But what do I know.

It's possible we still have decent antibody numbers at 6 or 7 months, and even a half dose revs up the system, so to speak. My symptoms weren't as bad as shot #2, but I did feel them & needed to take a pain reliever the day after. It's a sign the immune system is fully awake and ready to deploy, if/when necessary.
I got mine yesterday and boy did I feel like crap all last night and today until about 3 p.m. I don't know why, but in addition to the chills and aching all over, the booster and my second dose back in February both made me really nauseated. My doctor said the same thing happened to her when she got her second dose.
Anyway, it beats getting Covid any day, so I can't complain too much.
A day and a half after the shot, arm still sore but only when it touches something, so no biggie. Felt a little sluggish all day, but still suspect that’s because I expected to, and sort of psyched myself into it. I did get up and engage with errands and exercise for about four hours this morning, then crawled into bed with a book and completely enjoyed my day off.
2 days ago I had my Moderna at 7 1/2 months after first two. DH was 6 1/2 months and got his also. He's had no symptoms either the first 2 times or this. First evening I spiked a 100.9 temperature with chills. Couldn't seem to get warm. Next day temp went up and down. Back up to 100.2 tonight and I slept pretty much all day in my recliner. Feels just exactly like a mild flu. Really wanted to take a pain reliever to help the aches but I'd heard one shouldn't take that after their jab. I don't know if that's true or not...but I'm suffering through it.
I will be getting my Moderna Booster this coming week. I am told if your Booster is the same manufacturer as you original shots, your after effects should be the same as your 2nd shot. I hope so, as I had no reaction at all.

I think I need to get a recliner before I go for my booster
My wife and I got ours yesterday. No side effects.
