Daughter #2 is fond of dropping F-bombs (Oh, If only I had a quarter for every time she does... ) She's in the process of straightening out her life, and was recently "re-baptized" after being an agnostic/atheist for years. I joke that the second baptism didn't take either because those F-bombs are still flying...
For her birthday last month I got her the following tee shirt. She loves it....
My husband's favorite t-shirt is one he got many years ago in San Diego. It was supposedly made from recycled money and the logo said: Bank of Dad - a lending institution ever since I can remember.
They sell new ones like it but they are IMO not as nice and the saying has changed somewhat from the original.
Not into cutesy slogans on my body, either drawn all over me w/permanent ink or displayed on shirts. So mine "says" on a little white tag: Merino Wool, ISBN XXXXX, Made in Vietnam. Heather Blue, Size L. Cold Wash Only. That's sufficient information.
Goes great with both my tailored gray sport coat and the black I just picked up for holiday parties.
I don't owe anyone explanations of what I think or why I'm doing (whatever), being my own mental point of origin and understanding how to exemplify a good code of behavior day-to-day. That behavior is more powerful than any slogan.
Always remember one in Charleston SC:
"It's not the heat
It's the stupidity"
Browsing T-shirt shops and reading the good ones is the best tourist activity ever.
I used to live in a small Florida town whose unofficial motto was:
(Town name)
a drinking village with a fishing problem
As a 60-something female I don't wear those kinda shirts but like to read them.
