You don't have to worry about salt unless you have hypertension, and I don't, so bring on the 11/$10.

Mmmmm; MSG!!!

Ha, but I see DQ and think ice cream...and I'm not sure what a breakfast taquito is to begin with. Or any taquito, for that matter. Never heard that word, but I'm guessing it means "little taco". So maybe eggs and cheese and spicy sauce inside of a little taco? Am I close?

ETA: Wait, I know that some DQs used to sell burgers and fries in addition to ice cream. I went to one like that years ago.

Same here. No high BP. Love my salt.

I think I wrote on the Food forum my complaint about my friend who often cooks dinner for me, but since SHE has high blood pressure, she doesn't salt anything, which is fine, but neither does she put salt on the table or offer any. If I ask for it, I have to deal with the heaving sigh and the story about how she hasn't had salt in 20 years...so now I save those little salt packets from fast food places and put salt on my food when she's not looking.

ETA: And to keep this on topic, when I am in my home state, that's one way retirees on fixed incomes are coping. This friend gets EBT, and since COVID, the state has been filling her card beyond what she actually needs. So, she buys all kinds of fish and whatnot on sale, freezes it, and cooks for me when I'm home. In return, I treat her to more expensive takeout from restaurants we like.

Life without salt is like not having a beer during cocktail hour.

I don't like salt particularly.

IF I'm eating say chips (very salty), I have a small amount.

I have high BP and some minor heart issues. Every time I see the cardiologist I'm told no salt.

Spouse is a saltaholic.
But recently said to me 'if you haven't noticed, I've cut way back on salt". (No I hadn't paid attention, I cook with no extra or little extra salt).

The only time I use salt (necessary in it's proper limit for our bodies to function):is if it's hot and I've "sweated salt crystals" or can taste salt on my lips.
That means I'm low on salt, expending extra sweating (I sweat I don't "perspire", it just rolls and drips off me.)

When I do use salt, I prefer himilayan pink salt, which I used to get at dollar tree.

Best

I've started shopping for meat, chicken and fish at Huntsville's meat market. Great prices! I stock up at the beginning of each month. I also buy the dogs' meat there: chicken gizzards, hearts and necks.
