I like to joke about it.
Sometimes I say I’m almost 70.
I’m 63 and other than a few minor pains I’m total fine with it.
I keep extremely busy doing and learning things that I find interesting.
Life is good right now and I’m looking forward to the next 20 or so years of good times.

We’ve had the opportunity to meet many young enlisted military members. That’s a group that will give you hope for the future.
Just thinking of the college grad complaining about her 9 to 5 job. The sense of entitlement is just huge.
Some time in a military setting with different expectations will grow these young adults up real fast.

Some have grown up with no boundaries and no concern for any authority.

One of my nephews went into the Army in his mid to late 20's and you can see the difference.
He now has goals, a really nice girlfriend, his own apartment, all is good.

"Lying on the floor"---good for you. Lots of us can't even get down there anymore and struggle to get up. Bad joints, lol.

The Playboy is secondary!

PS: I don't care who knows my age. Vanity has long since evaporated.
It's kind of a relief, in a way.

I don't care if others know my age. If someone asks, I tell them without hesitation, but I notice that many are uncomfortable by the question, so I generally don't ask. I often volunteer it as part of a conversation that I am having where it is relevant.

It does make me laugh when I hear someone say "Age is just a number." Yeah, it is a little more involved than that.

When I turned 50, I cried half-day. I thought half of my life was over now.

Today is my birthday and I'm so grateful to be here. I have no shame to say I just turned 68 today. I actually used the calculator to make sure - born in 1955.
It takes a lot to grow old and should never be taken for granted.

Agree. There's been some TV ad for something (I often remember ads that amuse or annoy me more than the others, but I almost never remember the product they're attempting to sell me) running for years featuring this self-righteous woman chirping "age is just a number". Then she turns right around to refute herself by stating "and mine's unlisted". I realize some paid actress isn't responsible for the ad writer's little patter but how dumb can you get?
