Do they have true-crime TV shows now? Ae they any good? Last time I watched "television" was three years ago when we stayed in a motel.
I like almost any kind of history, but most of the history shows on television in recent years before we gave up TV were not very good at all, imo.
I don't want to derail this thread, though!
I only watch Internet channels like Netflix, Prime, etc. No more cable, although cable has ID, a channel dedicated to true crime. But yes, true crime shows have exploded in popularity. I am thankful for that (to stay on topic ).
I haven't been to a Thanksgiving dinner in the past 3 years as I was living most of that time in Germany. Now back in the USA, I'm living in a 55+ apartment community near Dayton OH. Wednesday evening they will bring in a catered Thanksgiving dinner to the community room of our building, so I'll be there to share a meal with my new neighbors and enjoy some good food too.

Aha, here you are, Recycled! I asked you in a different thread (which you likely missed) what brought you for 3 years to a small city in the south-eastern part of Germany, and then what brought you to Dayton, OH. Neither of these localities is widely popular with many people, including retirees. What was behind your geographic choices, what reasons?
I know I'll be deemed a scrooge, but I totally dislike Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Thanksgiving is a misogynistic holiday where I'm expected to put on the apron and do my wifely duties. And we have to eat leftovers for a month. I would have gotten reservations for today but at $100 a pop per person for a nice place, I'd sooner eat a tuna sandwich.
I'm not religeous so Christmas isn't anything to me. Just another day for retailers to make bank.
I just do what is expected and keep my mouth shut.

Thank you for letting me vent.
I do the cooking, my husband handles the clean up. One day I'm sure we'll keep it simple and either order a premade heat and eat meal or go out to a restaurant.
This year we decided to keep it simple and not drag out the china, silver and crystal so the clean up will be super easy - everything can go right into the dishwasher. Done.
Today is Thanksgiving... which means yesterday was the busiest day of the year for Dominos and Papa Johns.
I got these really good looking frozen meatballs. They came in a tray wrapped in clear packaging so you could see the meatballs. They were on sale and I figured that a spaghetti and meatball dinner on Thanksgiving eve would be super easy and delicious. How wrong could I go?
Well, they weren't terrible but they tasted like sausage balls, not something you would have on spaghetti. We ate them but they were weird - like breakfast sausage in spaghetti sauce over noodles. We should have ordered pizza.
Luckily our Thanksgiving dinner has made up for that epic fail.
