I'm a bit surprised not to see a thread here in the retirement forum on Valentine's Day - or, as Jay Leno used to say, "National Sex Day."

Did you have a good Valentine's Day? Did you do something special with your partner?

We did a Valentine's Day couple's cooking class, preparing an elegant dinner under the supervision of a local chef.

It went great. I got this for the missus. Now I'm sleeping in the basement. No idea why, she likes strawberry cake.

We went out to dinner - maybe the first time we’ve done that for V-Day, ever. (We just don’t eat out much). No where fancy, just a mom and pop joint down at the corner that we’d never been to before. I doubt we’ll go back unfortunately. It was overpriced and slow service.

No, no one to be with. I guess this one was better than others for it was just another day, almost no reminders that I am alone.

I don’t do Valentines Day. It’s a made up holiday that makes many people feel bad.

Nice surf and turf dinner with DH at home......1/4 price of going out, at twice as good.

I ate a heart shaped donut that my boss brought in at my volunteer gig.
