I am visiting Newport in the spring with my son who will be 7 years old. We are visiting the Norman Bird Sanctuary and I was wondering if anyone had been there before and could comment on it.
Also, are there any other things of interest in Newport or close area for us to check out. My son especially enjoys animals, nature and science.
Sure the Bird Sanctuary is great, has indoor displays and hiking out to Hanging Rock. Sachuest Point Wildlife Refuge next door is also stunning, and great for climbing about the ocean rocks, secluded coves. On your way to both of these places is Easton's Beach where in the summer, they have games ocean displays and aquariums with local sea life.
