I got some spam from Smoke Lounge on Spruce St in PVD. They're carrying the fight, but it's a $30 admission that includes two drinks! Geez, how much does this PPV cost anyway?
It costs $99 to watch it at home on PPV. I heard that it costs businesses a couple grand or so to show in their establishments.
This city is about to turn into a madhouse starting tonight. There are a few bars here showing the fight. Most are charging $100-$200 per ticket to get in. I was told it is $7500 for business to show the PPV.
Metro police are advising people to stay off the strip due to the sheer number of people coming in from out of state (revised estimates of 400,000 tourists this weekend). I don't understand it, as the arena only holds about 15,000, and MGM has blacked out the fight from showing on the Strip outside of their properties.
People are coming here so they can be in the same city as the fight? Makes no sense.
Just came across another one..Baileys Pub on Smith St, $10 cover after 8.
