Perennial candidate for Lt. Governor and Governor and founder of the Cool Moose Party, has died. In my estimation, Healey has played an important role in RI politics. He managed to garner 21% of the vote in the most recent gubernatorial race with a campaign war chest of $35 (a fact state Republicans rue to this day). And his efforts to open up the RI political process are notable; his Cool Moose party fought to open up the two party system in RI:
