Does anyone know of a very reasonable tree removal person or agency? I need to have over 7 tall trees removed from the rear of my house and cannot pay a high fee for this. It is probably a full day's work.

Unfortunately you are probably going to have to pay a lot. I lost a large fir tree back in the late October storm. Took weeks to get companies to come for an estimate. Told that it was a 2 man job for a good portion of the day. Quotes were in the 1,250-1,500 range. It was a big tree but was already down making it an easier job.

It's going to depend on how big the trees are and whether or not you want the stumps ground/removed. My daughter just had 2 large Oaks, ground and removed, from her front yard in Cumberland for: $2300. Make sure whoever you hire is insured.

Thank you both for the replies. This is going to be way too expensive. I was thinking it might be less given the number of trees.

More trees, more work, why would you think it is less? I had 8 trees (large oak/maple) get a "hair cut" last year and it cost 2000.

Actually, that's not a bad idea. A haircut for my trees might be just as good. Thanks for the great suggestion!!

I sent you a longer pm getting into more detail, but for the sake of everyone else on here, I'd give Curran Tree a call. They did some work for me back in late fall, and not only did they do good work, they underbid my other candidates by about a grand.
