A Queens Resident coming to visit in a few short weeks.
Retired after almost 40 years Blue Collar Field. Conservative. God fearing man. Dog Lover. Love Seafood.
Looking for good memories to bring back home to N.Y.
So far I have researched:
Newport: CliffWalks, The Breakers,The Brick Alley Pub,Black Pearl and Del's.
Would also like to visit some middle class neighborhoods that resemble Queens N.Y.
such as Whitestone ,ForestHills,Middle Village,Kew Gardens,HowardBeach... if they exist.

Any suggestions?
If you base your visit to Rhode Island on your apparent conservatism, fear of god, etc., you'll likely miss the most beautiful parts of our liberal state. But, if that's your choice may I suggest you not miss West Warwick, Coventry, Scituate & much of Warwick or Cranston. If you like the woods, check out Exeter, Richmond & West Greenwich. As for cities, Woonsocket is probably the most conservative in the state. The Museum of Work there may interest you. Stay away from the coast. As are most coastal towns, they can be very liberal.

Come on, IM, what kind of welcome is that?
Eh, there's plenty of conservatism sprinkled in here and there in RI. OP, here's a map of RI regarding how the presidential election went down in 2016. Of course that's presidential election, not conservative vs. liberal...
There are loads of tourist websites for RI online so no need to revisit them here.
As for dense middle class neighborhoods, much of Warwick and Cranston would fit that bill. Not familiar enough with neighborhoods in Queens to know what you're really asking for.
Watch Hill has the Ocean House, a beautiful historical hotel. Visit for lunch and walk around thr quaint downtown.
Newport has dozens of places to go. Love the Black Pearl that you mentioned along with a sunset sail.
Narraganset the Coast Guard House.
