Could anyone please confirm that we can still go to MA today and back (Thursday, 8/6) as usual (No negative test needed...)?

Also, I was wondering how they check people coming from RI to MA? How do they know who go for works and who not?

My question at the press briefing yesterday, "So since the states who are using the John Hopkins Numbers are doing better than Rhode Island in cases....shouldn't we follow their metrics?" CT, MA, NY, NJ are doing things that got their numbers lowered and manageable.

Rhode Islanders have gotten a little relaxed. This disease is passed on, for the most part, because of poor behavioral issues (lack of social distancing, keeping our person to person circle small, poor hand-washing and mask wearing).

The governor seems prepared to walk back the latest phase next week. She let her behavior optimism get ahead of the state's actual behavior. Her "Knock it Off" only went so far. The kids apparently didn't listen to mom.

Despite your earlier crowing, Rhode Island is not doing well at all with COVD. Please follow established guidelines before entering Massachusetts.

This was mentioned on the news just now. They said it's not clear if quick shopping trips to MA are allowed. Apparently nobody knows. They were in the Market Basket parking lot interviewing shoppers from RI. One guy said he'll follow whatever the rules are, but there was a woman who said she doesn't care what the rules are...she's going to shop in MA either way.

It’s hard to imagine town cops in Seekonk arresting Rhode Island plates. The business all rely on cross border customers.

It will be an enforcement nightmare. Do you think many are not going to pull the "well I'm staying with my brother in Seekonk for the summer...". It's not like they are going to follow everybody home.
