I'm keeping this thread to monitor and invite discussion for Pawtucket municipal politics.

- Sen. Donna Nesselbush has announced she is not seeking re-election to the Rhode Island Senate District 15.

- Incumbent District 5 City Councilor Megan Kallman has announced her intention to be elected to the Rhode Island Senate District 15 seat vacated by Donna Nesselbush.

- Janie Segui Rodriguez, 2018 candidate for Council at Large, has announced her intention to seek office to Council District 5.

- In the Valley Breeze, District 3 Councilor Terry Mercer said he is seeking re-election. In the same article, Councilor at Large Al Vitali said he will seek reelection as long as "a seat in the General Assembly is not vacant."

- School Committee Chair Gerard Charbonneau has announced reelection.

interesting. Kallman has been a fantastic Councilor and I think she will do great in the State House. Charbonneau has been really proactive in addressing major problems with busing this year and I will completely support his reelection. I don't know anything about Rodriguez, but I'm in Councilor-for-life Barry's district and won't have a say the matter anyway.
