Galaxie was always my favorite for Asian food until I tried Seven Moons on Post Rd in North Kingstown. I recognized the ower - he was formerly with Galaxie. Angelo's on Federal Hill is pretty decent but Uncle Tony's on Oaklawn Ave in Cranston has GREAT sauce. These are a couple of good inexpensive places - favorite upscale places are Al Forno, Mills Tavern and Sienna.
There are several Portuguese restaurants in East Providence and Fall River.
Madeira is on Warren Ave (and there are two others on Warren Ave as well)
Sagres in on Columbia St. in Fall River.
For anyone who hasn't tried Portuguese food - it is really a treat-
The menu's consist mainly of fish, steak, pork and chicken dishes - but the food is really excellent and it's not expensive.
My favorite cheap eats by far is Apsara in Providence (the Apsara on the west side, that is, on Public Street just off Elmwood Avenue). They have excellent Vietnamese, Thai, and Cambodian food, and the prices are dirt cheap.
I also like Sicilia's on Atwells Avenue and Fellini on Wickenden Street for pizza...

Agree with Apsara. The surrounding neighborhood is ROUGH but the food is excellent.
