I like Caserta's spinach pies. My only complaint was a little too much pepper.
I actually think the seasoning level is perfect, and the filling still tastes the same. It's the crust that seems to have gone down in quality, and I could swear "skimpier".

It's a Whimpy Skippy, not a Whimpy Skimpy. It was named after two employees who came up with the combination.
When I go to Caserta, I go for the pizza. I'm not a big fan of spinach pies. Tommy's makes an excellent broccoli pie, with an intense black pepper profile. Long time purists will protest, but I think Tommy's II in Cranston is better than the Providence location (was).
Crugnale Reservoir moved to Rolfe Square, but closed more than two years ago. I went to several of the Crugnale locations, but probably to Rumford the most. They had the best pizza strips in the state, to the best of my knowledge.

Reason: To make it clear that the Prov. location of Tommy's is long gone... RIP
Never had the fortune of. But I always liked the strips at Superior's. They are still around right?
I'm not sure they are actually. Google says temporarily closed and their FB page hasn't been updated in ages. But maybe they never updated Google after Covid. When I worked in a convenience store, we sold lots of strips and pies from here.
Your hatred of House of Pizza isn't very logical. They're all different. Why wouldn't one be able to make a Spinach pie?
I'm looking for old school/Italian style ie. Caserta's. Some of the suggestions (like Pastryland) sound legit, and I'll probably be driving by there within the next month or two.
