Will be traveling from NC to Richmond/VCU for a basketball tourney this weekend. Can anyone suggest a safe, convenient area for lodging for a single mom and two teens?

The Doubletree Downtown, Downtown Marriot, Miller & Rhoads Hilton Garden Inn, or the Omni Richmond.

We also like the Berkeley (across the street diagonally from the Omni).
