I totally understand putting your kids' education first (that's why we chose Glen Allen) but we also chose it because it was a 10 minute commute for their dad. I can't imagine how his 3-4 hour commute benefits your girls, but that's just me. There has got to be a better option closer to Woodbridge. Have you used schooldigger.com?

This post almost sounds like a troll, it's almost like saying my husband is getting a job in Philly and how bad is the commute from Connecticut!?!?

Schools in Woodbridge are NOT terrible, do not trust the "rankings" as they are based on standardized test scores primarily. Two good areas to look at are Lake Ridge and Montclair (near Dumfries).

If you don't want to live in Woodbridge, then live in the Lorton area of Fairfax County. Fairfax County has the best school district in the region.

Do NOT live in Stafford County, the area is extremely conservative and full of militant people.

midlothian is a great place to live! placed in top 100 places as rated by CNN online. I live in mildo and find it very good. Schools are great!
