It looks like I am in the most remote area (Richmond, VA), although it is close to New York and Washington, DC, it seems like it is not multicultural, it's either... or ... . Seems boring.
I moved here for work from Sydney, Australia and I am Russian... really looking forward to my coming trip to Cali, life seems so much better there :-) If you are one of or you know any decent Russians in Richmond, VA, do let me know!!!

Thank you
Yuliya

I can tell you where to find some Russian type food. I think they are Ukranian, but they may be able to point you in the right direction. But you are correct there is no diversity like the type you're describing. You'd probably have to go to Brooklyn (Brighton Beach) in NY to find a large area of Russians.

So you moved from a huge international city and expect a small city to offer the same diversity as other huge international cities like DC and New York?

Perhaps you should have investigated better before accepting the position. Diversity & Multi-cultural are not 2 phrases normally used to describe Richmond. As one poster wrote if you want Little Odessa then go to Brighton Beach in Brooklyn.

Don't be shocked that "Cali" is not all you think, what we see in the media is just an image. Living there has the same challenges as any other big city but I will concede that it is diverse and multi-cultural.

Good Luck..
