I lived In Richmond after I got out of the army on disability. I moved back to Oklahoma when my mother was ill. Since she has passed I am taking a bus back to Richmond this week. I am in between work and homes I would appreciate any help if someone knows where the easiest place is to find any work or maybe a warm spot. I don't want any charity I would just like help if someone knows about places to work temporarily until I can find housing. I appreciate all information thanks!

Check with the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Richmond to see what you may be eligible for. And vetarans are given preference when applying for jobs within the VA. It takes time but worth a try.

Thanks Mary B they do have programs but like all other government programs it takes months to even get a confirmation letter that you are maybe eligible let alone awarded a program.

I would give them a call again to make sure they have everything & you have filed everything you need. Pt Advocate#- 675-5545. not sure that would be the right person but he should be able to lead you.
