I just accepted a job in Richmond (Hull Street) and my boyfriend works in Williamsburg. We were looking to find somewhere in the middle that would be a reasonable commute for both of us. We have been told to look at New Kent, but I have not been able to find much about rental properties and we would like to rent for a year or so before we buy to make sure we like the area.

Any suggestions about rental properties in that area or any other areas we should consider?

Not sure what your budget is but there are a few rentals near Brickshire ( exit 214 ) off of 64. You can search on Realtor.com for rentals 23140 Homes for Rent - 23140 Houses for Rent - 23140 Rentals Real Estate - Realtor.com®

Thank you for the response and website. We are trying to keep it under $900-$1000 dollars if possible so these are a bit out of our price range, but we have a little time so maybe some other listings will be added.

I'd stay in Richmond and your BF could go to Wburg, It's very easy and painless to go from RIC to Wburg in the AM, but not the other way around.

I would also live in Richmond, maybe east of the city to make his commute easier while keeping yours reasonable (the tolls on the Downtown Expressway/Powhite will be annoying though). New Kent does not have many apartments.
