Drove out this morning and helped one neighbor by cutting the limbs off (carried my chain saw with me just in case it was needed to through a road) a fallen tree so he could get his car out. Picked up another neighbor who needed more gas for his generator. There were limbs everywhere, but having the Avalanche made it pretty easy getting around. We lost power for 22 hours and we weren't even in the watch area. I guess we weren't far west enough.

Gonna need a couple of chainsaws to cut this one down to size!

That's my neighbor standing there to give a perspective of size.

The root ball is over 10 feet in height!
The 'hole' is the size of a small swimming pool or a very large Jacuzzi!

My gosh, that's a huge tree that fell. Good thing it didn't hit the house or a car.

LOTS of trees down in the original section of River's Bend off of Route 10. A neighbor has one leaning on two of my trees and they are the only thing keeping it from taking off the back side of my house! We've got messages in to about three tree services (that we've used before) and keep hoping one of them gets to it before it goes. Looks like it's leaning more today than yesterday. Needless to say my daughter is not sleeping in her bedroom until it comes down!

Make sure the tree service company is insured and bonded... Good luck and be safe.

Trees down and gone. Poor things are so busy right now. highcotton, we had used them before... they took down some trees a few years back that were taller than our two-story house. Fabulous workers and they don't gouge you during a time like this. If anyone needs a recommendation definitely DM me and I'll send it!
