I need to have renovations done to my kitchen. The house was built in the 50s and the original cabinets are falling apart, so no chance of refacing. We need cabinets, countertops, and flooring. Appliances are good. Pipes are good. No need for design services, the layout is fine.

It's not a big kitchen and we are not looking for anything fancy. Not interested in granite, custom doors, anything like that which would qualify as an "upgrade." We just want something plain and sturdy. Money is really tight and NOT CHEAP, just inexpensive! There is a difference!

Looking for any recommendation for a contractor or renovator who is reliable, quick, and with fair prices. We are not DIY people, unfortunately, we just don't have the time. Or if you've used one of the major retailers with good success, that would be nice to know too. I shyed away from calling Home Depot because I know one person who paid an arm and a leg for stuff from them and it was a struggle to get it installed and then they have had problems with the wood warping and coming apart. But that might be an isolated incident.

We are in Henrico...

We are in the process of a home renovation. Addition with a total HVAC gut and kitchen gut. We have a general along with several subs. The general is out of Chester, the HVAC is out of Petersburg, the cabinet maker is out of Dinwiddie (Carsons). So far everything is going wonderfully. I am a stickler for what I want and so far have been happy with the service and price. If you would like names, feel free to email me at FortLeeAreaHomes@gmail.com as I do not always check the Forum.
