Hello! My husband, my daughter (5YO) and I are most likely relocating to the Midlothian area in June, and I will be needing some sort of childcare starting in July. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for summer day camps? Looks like the YMCA is a good option, was wondering if there others in the area with good reputations. Thanks so much!

The Weinstein JCC has incredible camps, and there is probably a pick up point out by Midlothian. My 6 year old is spending a couple of weeks at Camp Hilbert (JCC day camp) and can't wait! (It is quite common for JCC summer campers to not be Jewish, by the way ... Our family is not but there is a bit of exposure, I.e., Friday Shabbat, and it's great for him to experience new traditions).

Also, St. Catherine's has a wonderful program, Brilliant Summer. A bit of a hike for you, but very highly regarded. Those are the two major camp programs that my friends and I use and we fill in weeks at the Children's museum, Peak Experiences, Maymont, Collegiate, SPARC, etc to keep things interesting during the summer. I also have to piece together child care through summer camps so let me know if you have any questions!
