Considering a job near the Airport but not sure where to look for housing? I read that the west end of Richmond is nicer but also like the idea of being closer to the beach? What do you recommend? Have a 7 year old daughter so schools are a consideration.

Try Chester. Very convenient to the Richmond area. Twenty-two miles to the airport.

there are a lot of decent suburban areas around with good public schools. you're not going to get anywhere too close to the beach if you want a reasonable commute to the airport. the best you're looking at is like a 90 minute drive to va beach.
