This may seem like a strange request for a 20-year-old college student....but..I need some new, interesting places to walk. Not run.,or jog...or bike...but walk. For some reason I just love walking..lol. It helps me clear my mind and gives me time to think while taking in the local scenery...

Usually I just walk listening to music but sometimes I snap pictures (which means I have hundreds to share in the Richmond pics thread once I get a new usb cord).

Last Saturday, for instance, I walked from the Monroe Park area to the river, followed the river downtown, visited the capitol, walked around MCV and then walked back to Monroe park...not sure how long of a walk that is, but it didn't seem long because i was taking pictures and thinking and what not...
Anyway...it seems like I've exhausted all of my old reliable walking routes..lol. I usually walk around/through the Fan or along the River/Canal or downtown..I've walked to Shockoe Slip and Shockoe Bottom once but I plan to go back...

I've actually never been to the other side of the river tho (Machester?)..is there much to see there?

Any new suggestions of somewhat scenic areas to visit?

How about Windsor Farms? Or the Libbie and Grove area? Have fun!

Ever been to Pony Pasture along the river? How about Hollywood Cemetery?

The buttermilk trails would be a good nature hike
