Ok so here goes I am a travelbug...I have lived all over the place...born and raised in NJ and currently in NJ. I moved back to NJ about 6 months ago from Houston...before Houston we lived in Atlanta GA for 3yrs...San Antonio TX and Dallas....Not to mention my job assignments had me living temp all over the country and even overseas. So needless to say I have been around the world. Now I am sorta looking to settle down. I am in my early 30's. I have family in Richmond(distant cousins) who actually love it there. I am really into the arts, nightlife, sports, and the outdoors. Is there actually anything to do in Richmond? I was there about 7 yrs ago on a job detail that lasted about 2months but I was working ALOT of hours and didn't get to explore Richmond at all. What areas should I look in.....I am willing to pay about $1200 for a 3br(apt,condo,house,or townhome). Needs to have a good school system(very important)safe, and clean. What areas should I stay out of? Any advice would be cool. Also can you tell me what you love or hate about Richmond? It doesn't matter what part of the city or suburbs I am in because I travel with my job.

Well, my friends and I go to raves a lot. Dont know if youre into that. 2 of our good clubs closed recently. there are various parties in warehouses and stuff. the art walk is very fun. its every month and is full of art show receptions and all the DJs hang out at the record store listening to the DJs out front. I try to go to it every month. great restaurants. as for sports, um, a new baseball team has been established and they are getting a ton of press in the local media. they are called the Flying Squirrels hehe its a funny name. as for the outdoors Belle Isle is awesome.
