I use Critter Town
http://www.crittertown.com/ - Off of Forest Hill Avenue - It isn't horribly convenient for you but a nice Mom and Pop place. They provide towels, soap, brushes, clippers, dyers etc. For my huge Golden Retriever they charge 16.00 and we probably spend 45 minutes with an industrial blow dryer...

There is one across the river less than 15 minutes from short pump. Its in a gas station at the intersection of 711 & Huguenot (Polo Circle) real easy to get there from short pump.
64 to 288, 288 to 711 (1st exit over river). Make left at light, go to 4th light (over the hwy, past the school, up the hill, drive a few miles in left lane) and turn left on Polo pkwy, turn right on Polo circle, last drive on left pull into gas station and go to car wash.
