Before the weather gets bad/truly winter-like, I'm going to have to map out my own Rochester Beer Trail. I was planning on playing poker at Turning Stone next weekend; this could probably be accomplished as part of the same trip.

Wonder how many craft breweries are in my home county of Erie...15, maybe?

Rohrbach Railroad Street IPA is one of my top 5 beers, btw. I miss the days when one of the corner stores I go to carried it in 4-packs. I have to settle for Bell's Two-Hearted and Arrogant Bastard when I go to that same store these days. The upside is that they sell those cans individually, so I can make my own de facto sampler pack

So-called "craft" beers have turned into the naked emperors clothes of adult beverages.

Have some fun with THIS parody...

I believe Wegmans has Rohrback in growlers. Check out Rohrbacks on Buffalo Rd in Gates or better yet visit the ome on Railroad St. adjacent to the public market.

Looks like 3 more breweries are opening this month. One in Spencerport and I think 2 in Penfield.
