I concur.

We have friends in western and N. Greece, and both areas are nice, and also convenient to the Parkway and 390. If the poster wants a decent commute, anywhere in N. Greece, Hilton, Irondequoit, eastern Webster, and NW Penfield are good.

N. Greece.
There are few 'starter' home neighborhoods that are terrific. Sidewalks, streetlights, tree lined streets.
30+ year old homes that seem to be flipping now to younger families.
Homes that while not big and fancy, are decent and well priced-averaging around $120,000.
A new town hall, community center, playgorund and main library are located just North of Latta rd on Long pond rd. Lots of activities for children and families. There is a YMCA on Long Pond close to Latta rd, as well as a Wegmans. Greece Ridge mall is four miles away. Any of the subdivisions in that area off Long Pond or Latta are fantastic. A very convenient and safe place to raise a family.

It would only be about a 15 minute commute to Irondequoit.

Is that in the Greece SD or the Hilton SD?
