Just purchased our first home which is a mobile, sink dimensions are 33 x 19, it's 6" deep and dual basin.
We want to convert to a single basin and deeper. But we checked a local mobile home supply store and they had the depth we wanted, but it was dual-basin. And the single basins they had were too shallow for our liking.
Lowes and Home Depot don't seem to carry them, searched Google and Amazon, can't seem to find what we're looking for.
Do they even make single basin 33 x 19 sinks that are 8 inches deep or are we chasing something that doesn't exist?
The term to search on is farmhouse sink. Stamped stainless steel cheap sinks of dimensions like that are highly unlikely. What immediately came to mind were marble or soapstone sinks and cast concrete. Some can be diy projects, but to have one professionally made will have a significant cost, plus the mounting has to be seriously beefed up.
(On the cheap, I once made a serviceable darkroom sink about 5' long x 2' x 6" from sheet plastic tight-fit over plywood, but that was light-duty compared to a kitchen sink. )
A possibility might be to find a metal shop with the brakes strong enough to deal with SS and have one custom made. It'll still be expensive, but not as much as stone.
Thanks for the responses everyone. We had a plumber working on our two bathroom sinks and he said he can just cut out some of the countertop so we can fit a 33 x 22 sink. Already picked it up at Lowes and have him coming this week.
