These rules for city folks moving to the country are funny as all-git-out to most of us country bumpkins, so don't take offense:

Another one you might add.
When you drive up on two vehicles blocking the road and the drivers apparently just talking, just be patient and stay off the horn.
They know you are there and are talking as fast as they can. Give them a little time here. They will return the favor should you ever need it. Got lost? Someone is sure to pull up and say "Now, you just go down here to.... and turn..." Get in the ditch? Someone is sure to show up with a chain in the back of their truck. Your car disabled in the middle of nowhere? Someone will be along and say, "Hop in, Buddy". They will also stay off the horn when you drive like a little old lady.

One more rule,do NOT talk bad about someone because chances are you are talking to a relative, inlaw or friend of the person you are giving"down in the country".

Boy, have I ever been guilty of that one. There's always one person in town who's related to everybody ... and I always have managed to find that person! LOL

This caveat also should be employed in large cities, where people can be just as parochial and incestuous (figuratively speaking!), if not more so.

And...
21. The road is a dirt road because we like it that way. We will NOT sign your petition to have it paved.

Oh yes..and add to that "We don't want or need streetlights. We like the dark so we can see the stars."
