Hello everyone! As you can tell my screen name I'm from Wyoming, and my boy friend was given a job offer in Esparto, which I think is close to Sacramento? Can any one give me the good, the bad, and the ugly of this area? His offer was to ride cutting horse's, so yes we are very country people. We have never been to Cali before, he is going for 4 days on Tuesday. Thank you for any help!

Esparto is a quiet rural town with not much to do. But I think you'd find reasonable rent in the area. It's too far to commute from Sacramento. It's near I-505 and a short trip down to Vacaville which has shopping and an outlet mall. Near Esparto is an Indian casino Cache Creek Casino Resort Esparto is surrounded by many orchards, mostly almond trees. It's a pretty place!

You might also want to check out Winters, about 12 miles south of Esparto. It's a little bigger town than Esparto and has a little more going for it. The area is surround by farm land and orchards.
