All I can say is OUCH!! PG&E is outrageously high!! Why are they allowed to charge so much more than the other companies in the area? We live just over the border between Roseville and Rocklin, our friends who live two blocks away in Roseville pay just over half per kilowatt what we do!! Is there anything that can be done about this company?

First, they're a publicly-held company, so they're in business to make a profit for the shareholders. Second, they always have a ton of lawsuits that they've lost and have to pay off--the gas explosion in the bay area, failure to trim trees in the forests that caused huge forest fire, etc.

Not to mention all the money they spend trying to pass propositions that would make public-owned companies with lower rates (like SMUD) illegal--that ain't cheap, you know!
