No, it isn't. It's not even a very likeable city. I know, I lived there for five years and I lived in the nice parts too.

Just because they live there, doesn't mean they like it there. Half of LA resembles a third world country.

Wow, from a silly rant about Sacramento, this has moved into "we don't like those Third World people" rant. Of course, a city doesn't become the de facto or de jure capital based on people liking it (Sac, which wasn't the first capital, didn't become the capital because people liked it, or even because it straight streets). And people often (if not usually) live in a city because their family did or because of a job, not just because it's a city they like (not everyone has such a luxury). And all the complaints about "Third World" cities in the U.S. In America's past days, there were often complaints about "different" people moving in (Irish, Chinese, Italians, blacks, Jews, etc., etc.). Of course, the Native Americans may also have complained about all the strange people moving into their previously nice neighborhoods.

That's nice. My dad actually fought and was wounded for this country. He stuck his neck out on the line for this country. Look me up when some one in your family does the same.

My family appreciates the sacrifices made by those who fought to keep this country amazing. We haven't put our necks on the line but have family members who have come up from nothing and give back to the community. For example attending medical school and signing up to serve for the navy. The family has produced engineers, doctors, lawyers, and none of this could have been possible in the old country. If you are born poor back there, you die poor. In the USA, you can come here poor, and die having lived the american dream.
