Can anyone give me some places in Sacramento that offer CNC training? I might be moving there very soon from Houston. Man what a step down that will be...

Sac a step down from Houston? You know you're on a Sacramento message board, right? And that you're asking for their help?

That's some good people skills right there.

Or a democrat. Or an independent. Or maybe just someone with a chip on their shoulder.

LOL come on guys. I am just messing with you. I am NOT a troll so please don't label me that yet (my grammar is too good to be a troll hahah...) I meant a downgrade going from a large metropolitan town to a smaller town. My hometown in Alabama wasn't much smaller than Sacramento. I know how California folks get when you bag on their state.

No I'm not a Republican either. I actually get accused of being too liberal on things.

So back to my question... anyone know any CNC training courses or vocational/tech schools that offer them? I'm at school here in Houston for automotive machining and I don't want to pay another $15k to take my school's CNC even though it is focused on high performance engines. I figure I can take what I've learned here and back home in my auto tech courses and apply them to CNC.

I ask because my sister lives there and I might be moving there in June if I can find a decent CNC course for less monies. I've been here in Houston since September 2010 and although I do like living in a big city like this it is just too rowdy for me. I've never wanted to buy a handgun (for my own protection!!!) more than while I've lived here.

You can see from the overwhelming responses that your joke worked pretty well.

Why not just finish school there? What's the big rush to downgrade to California's low non-gun-toting ways?

I'm weary about leaving school with $45k in debt. It is not a good idea to take out more in loans than you'll be making your first year out of school.
