Since a lot of people ask about affordable housing, I thought I'd post this info I saw in the Bee.

Quote:
Sacramento County officials welcomed the opening Thursday of a new affordable housing complex aimed at families who earn less than half the county's median income.

The Arbor Creek project at Calvine and Elk Grove-Florin roads consists of 102 units of one- to three-bedroom apartments.

Rents range from $359 to $630 for a one-bedroom apartment and $498 to $874 for a three-bedroom, two-bath unit, according to the development company, the for-profit USA Properties Fund Inc. of Roseville.

Here's another place:

The small Las Lomas complex is Sacramento County's first HUD-funded permanent supportive housing program for chronically homeless, disabled people who are 55 and older. Located in a neighborhood off Stockton Boulevard, across the street from Next Move's family shelter, it has room for 22 older adults and provides supportive services such as senior nutrition assistance and Paratransit.

Low-income housing is not the same thing as supportive housing for homeless/disabled.
