I've been noticing a lot more homeless people lately--sleeping on bus benches on Arden Way, "camping out" in front of the library, etc. Today at a meeting a woman said that she was thinking the same thing and actually stopped to talk to several of the "new" homeless. They shared that the Arena construction downtown was too disruptive so they had begged some spare change and "moved" to the north area.

I know that Loaves & Fishes has a pretty complete homeless network--meals, showers, medical, even veterinary services for their pets.

Other than some churches that offer free lunch once a month, what services does the north area offer? I'm not aware that there's that much.

It's my understanding that L&F has a pretty far rich, but most of the surrounding communities have their own homeless outreaches also. I suggest checking with some of the local clinics (i.e., Sacramento Community Clinic) that serve the Medi-Cal population, I'm sure they'd know. https://www.dhhs.saccounty.net/PUB/C...iProviders.pdf
