I don't think they measure it by putting a pot out, but we do the same thing.

Hmmm...not as big as it was hyped to be. I had some palm fronds come down in the street, but not even as many as that rain storm we had a few weeks ago.

Hopefully the amount of rain doesn't cause any flooding--it doesn't seem like it's raining that much here.

I had to drive up to Cameron Park this morning. It was very windy, pushing my car when it gusted. I had to slow down to 50. Traffic was very light. I just got home, and I see some fences down in my neighborhood (Folsom), and I saw the city workers in one of the parks around a large downed tree. It's pouring here, but it doesn't seem to be as windy as earlier. Oh, and one of my security cameras is now facing downward. Weird. My trees are still standing. Yay.

I only saw some average rain and barely any wind, I was unimpressed.

Arcade Creek is almost over the banks at Winding Way and they said something about Linda Creek also. Plus they're predicting rain to continue all night.

All the rain went to the bay area. Some places like Fremont have got 4-5 inches of rain today and it's still down pouring.

I'm glad we didn't get as much rain as they initially thought, and yes the media went ape poo hyping the storm. That said, we got a good soaking rain that we really needed.

the winds never got over 10 - 20 mph? and the rain wasnt much worse than last time? I guess it depends on your area? no flooding, just a few water puddles

I was expecting howling winds and my garbage can's knocked down? they didnt even budge an inch

the storm was way over hyped

* Wind gusted to 71 mph at Marin County hamlet of Woodacre
* More than 9 inches in the wettest locations in western Sonoma County.

9 inches in 24 hours and that's hyping? Just because the storm didn't hit your little area in the region doesn't mean it shouldn't have been hyped. We have no way to predict with that much accuracy.
