Hi all, my son asked me, "Mom, I want to rake some leaves, make a pile and jump in them!"...

Big problem....live in Roseville, in an apartment...

Are areas where the types of trees that drop leaves near us, like at a park you know of, where we could get a rake, and let him put a pile together, to jump in? Willing to go as far north up 80, or other areas to find the place!

I know strange request here, any and all ideas welcome, as to just how I can pull this request off!

As part of a commitment to helping out the local community, the local group of girl scouts went door to door offering to rake the leaves of the elderly who were to infirm to rake the leaves themselves. I imagine you could do the same yourself. My understanding is that a lot of the elderly people providing the scout troop with lemonade and cookies as a reward for raking the leaves.

I imagine if you were so inclined, you could offer to do the same thing as in a local residential neighborhood.

Default Thank you

Thanks to both for your replies. We have never gone to Apple Hill, so that may be a place to try for sure. The other idea of going door to door in a neighborhood to volunteer is a good one as well.

I wonder though how many would reject us, and that may be confusing to a young child with an intellectual disability. Lining up the home with the leaves for sure in the back, and the owner willing to oblige, may be difficult...but great suggestion!

To those with trees and leaves in your yards, you are blessed!

To tell the truth there is defenitly a Autumn Season! Lots of Colors! Red, Orange, Yellows
The days are usally warm to mild and nights are cool to cold.
Its can be get rainy and foggy at times but not as much as Winter
It would say the peak month for Autumn foliage is November before Winters settles in by december!

I want to know why so few people mulch with the leaves anymore. You wouldn't believe how much better plants grow with a layer of leaf mold on the topsoil. The various waste management departments should encourage people to do this. It would save quite a bit of money on wast management and water by slowing down evaporation in the summer.
