Hello,
I am thinking of relocating to Salem from California Bay Area. I will be on a fixed income and was wondering if there are many clinics, or community hospitals in or near Salem that provide "sliding scale" payment options or offer other options for people with low income?
What can you tell me about the winter weather. I expect it to experience more rainy days there than here in Cali, but is it also often windy there too? (I love the wind). What is the average temp in July?
Also, is there any area in Salem I should hesitate from renting an apartment in?
Any feedback would be much appreciated.

You know we have a doctor shortage in Salem. The Salem Clinic is the biggest clinic and I would just give them a call. The issue you might have is finding a doctor to take you on as a patient.
