For most AA and NA (Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous) are just that, anonymous, for a reason. Some are proud of their sobriety like me.
But Bill was a real person, and the "Friends of Bill W." are real people. Good people.

There are other organizations besides AA and NA. C&SMC is what is called a Support Group. There are many. In our club you do not have to have a problem with Alcohol or Drugs. In fact we have a few members who have never taken a drink or smoked a joint, but they support those who have abused drugs and alcohol. Hence the term "Support Group". In simple terms as stated by our members, "You don't have to be an alcoholic or an addict to be a patch wearing member of C&SMC, but you must support those who have and are fighting the daily struggle to remain Clean and Sober". Our group like many support groups do not get you clean and sober. We are not AA or NA. in fact you do not even have to be in the 12 steps, but we give you the support you may need if you are or were in those programs. The reality is AA and NA are the tools many use to get clean and sober, but the only one who can get you there is you. And if you have made the choice, we are there to support you in that choice, and in the case of C&SMC we will give you a place to "Stay in the Wind", old school style.
