Hello

I wanted to fly into SLC from DFW and try to visit a ski resort which is kid and family friendly. Ideally hotel nearby and less than $200 a day. Ideally hotel near some restaurants and a shuttle to resort, thus eliminating need for car rental.

Thank You

Any of the 3 resorts on the Park City side will work. Hampton Inn/Holiday Inn Express have shuttles to all 3 and if you miss those the free city bus is right there..look into an airport shuttle service such as All Resort Express to get you up to Park City too...
Look for a package deal that will include lift tickets. If that doesn't work, buy your lift tickets in SLC and save 20$ per person per day...

Hello, refreshing this thread a little, how to you rate the below for kid friendliness and after-ski-back-at-hotel things to do and/or ease of access to restaurants, etc. (no rental car)

Park City Mtn Resort
Deer Valley
Alta
Brighton
Solitude

I think Canyons is very family friendly. Also, remember Deer Valley doesn't allow snowboarders.

Check out VRBO.com for rentals. Some, such as Westgate, are ski-in/ski/out & have shuttles so you don't need a car.

Alta, Brighton, Solitude: basically nowhere to go, little to do.

Park City Mountain Resort would be my pick! I have no idea on < $200/day hotel though. PCMR is the closest (walking distance or free bus) to main street of Park City which has plenty to do. Brilliant resort for families.
