Anyone have good suggestions for nice apartments in SLC area? (location, amenities, price, etc)

Budget is around 1200-1300 for 2BR. Open to paying more if need be but really have no idea after reading so many reviews on places in the area. Preferably something that is newer and modern.

So far, I've looked online at Eaglewood Lofts (North SL) , Residences at Fairbourne Station (West Valley City), Meadowbrook Station (Millcreek) they all look okay but not sure of the areas... Won't be in the area until the end of the month to actually physically visit these places which is why I was hoping for a little direction.

Open to any and all suggestions as well as townhouses.

You might want to check out Pinnacle Highland (in Cottonwood Heights) or Fox Point in Old Farm (Murray).

Where will work be and how long a commute can you tolerate?

That is what I was thinking. There are lots of apartments but if one group increases your commute time, they probably aren't worth it.

We need more information. You've listed complexes that are about as geographically dissimilar from each other as possible, so what exactly are you looking for?

I will be working from home but would still like to be somewhat close to downtown also. Open to surrounding areas!

Mostly a safe area, newer updated complexes and price around that budget. Extra amenities such as pool etc I don't care much about. Close to good restaurants and shopping would be a plus.

I would look in the Sugarhouse area or the area called 9th & 9th. Or if you like urban, downtown. However, I just looked at a complex in Murray called Lost Creek which was highly rated on line and seemed very nice when I walked in. I didn't tour any apartments there because they didn't have what I needed.

So my wife and I were in town the last couple of days and still didn't find something that really made us want to put down a deposit. We looked at a few places in Sugarhouse and the prices were much higher than we wanted to spend. (2BR for $2300 at The VUE apartments). We are leaning towards finding a nice townhouse for rent only because a lot of the apartment complexes have much more extra fees we would need to pay for such as 2 parking spots, bundling utilities regardless of how much of them we use, etc. We have been looking on KSL daily and hope to find something. We really liked Draper, Holladay, Cottonwood Heights, and West Jordan based on them being close to a lot of shops, restaurants, etc. If anyone sees anything I would greatly appreciate your help.

I'll keep an eye out for places here in Cottonwood Heights. We've been here nearly 34 years and love it. We've also lived in five other Salt Lake area neighborhoods, so we do have something to compare it to.
