The temple in salt lake is where I’d go if you want to learn more about Mormonism and meet some. They have a family center the tabernacle and you can walk the perimeter of the temple.

There is also “this is the place” right across from the hogle zoo. It’s a “pioneer” village to mark where they came into the valley and proclaimed it their land. I would assume there is a sign in i15 border with Idaho but never paid attention as we went to Idaho.

I’m sure some other Utah’ns can provide more details than I.
I would do that, but I am afraid of the snow (I will be driving in snowy weather if I want to take 80 I know, but your suggested way seems longer) Thanks!

Yes I80 to Evanston WY is way out of the way from Yellowstone. However you wanted to see a welcome to Utah sign on the WY/UT border. That is the closest place that I know of that has that.

If you go up by bear lake or I15 then you're passing through Idaho to get to yellowstone so you'll get the welcome to UT/ID signs. That may be enough for what you're trying to do!

Thanks! I did the trip today! I went to Evanston and took pictures with Utah and Wyoming Signs! I enjoyed my time there!

However, I was aware that higher altitudes have burning sunlight!

Hopefully, tomorrow it is going to be cloudy!

That is a good point. I heard that most people like the snow and parks.
