My daughter, her husband, and my grandbaby has to go to SLC for a few months on his job. They have found a rental online at 15th west and 22nd south and I am a bit worried by what I read on here that this may not be a good area of town? It is by the Glendale Golf Course and Country Club and the Glendale Park. Is this a good or bad area of town?

Glendale is not known to be a better part of Salt Lake, HOWEVER, depending on what your definition of "good" and "bad" is, it might not be as bad as you might think.

Personally, I wouldn't live in that area for anything. Have they signed a lease yet? Is it too late for them to back out? They might end up being just fine, but no, it's really not a good part of town.

Can you please tell me a bit more? I will pass this on to my daughter and no they have not signed the lease yet. Thanx.

Google the crime stats for Glendale and you can decide whether you are comfortable with them.

I wouldn't live there if I had a choice, as you can do a lot better for probably the same price...

... but it's not Detroit or Bogota. Keep your stuff locked up, but don't worry about buying a bullet-proof vest.

Mess around with this site.

I would not live there but I am paranoid. :-)

I don't know if it's considered "Glendale," but I believe it is more West Valley. I worked in the area, and it is heavily commercial. Personally, I would not move there.

It's part of the Redwood area of West Valley City. Everything south of 2100 South is considered part of West Valley City. I wouldn't live in that area if I had a choice.

This is JUST barely south of Glendale. I'd pass on it. A lot of gang activity and crime around there. Again though, it's not 7 or 8 mile Detroit or anything.
